About the US/LHC Project

The Large Hadron Collider at CERN near Geneva, Switzerland is opening new vistas on the deepest secrets of the universe, stretching the imagination with newly discovered forms of matter, forces of nature, and dimensions of space. This site provides general information about the Large Hadron Collider and detailed information about American participation in the LHC accelerator and experiments. U.S. LHC participation is supported by the US Department of Energy's Office of Science and the National Science Foundation.

US LHC Posters

These posters describe the Large Hadron Collider, ATLAS and CMS experiments, and the US contributions to and participation in the LHC project. The posters were first used at the Fermilab Pajama Party celebrating first beams in the LHC on September 10, 2008. Printable PDF versions of all posters except ATLAS measure 40 inches by 60 inches. The ATLAS poster measures 20 inches by 30 inches (PDF version). All are freely available for non-commercial use. For more information contact Katie Yurkewicz.
